Let the owner know to please review your Association’s governing documents before you start making any repairs to learn if a review request is required. Many associations do not require committee approval for minor repairs or routine maintenance if the original materials, color, and dimensions remain the same. Examples would be replacing one or two fence pickets, touch up painting, or replacing annual color flowers. Large projects such as house painting, new fence, new roof or new landscaping will typically require ACC approval prior to the project.
What if an owner needs to perform maintenance repairs on their home?
